The Egyptian Yacht Club in Alexandria, one of the oldest and most beautiful clubs, is distinguished by its genius site that testifies to history, located on the island of Pharos, overlooking the wide sea on one side and the eastern port, "or the great port as it was known in ancient Greek and Roman times" on the other side.

The ancient club that was established in Alexandria in May 1901 AD, through its name, monitored the glimpse of the Egyptian aristocracy and the history of the regime change in Egypt. The Royal Yacht Club, and in 1952 it was called the Egyptian Yacht Club.

The Egyptian Yacht Club in Alexandria hosts the activities of the Republic Winter Sailing Championship in its first and second stages, which is organized by the Egyptian Federation for Sailing and Glide on the water headed by Engineer Amr Abu Al-Saud.
The first stage was held from 25 to 30 January, and the second and final stage comes during the period from Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 March, and then the rest of the races will resume the following week from 15 to 17 March 2021.
